Lotus Niraja and The NDC Bio:
Lotus Niraja is widely recognized for her fiery dance style, dramatic energy, and her vibrant interpretation and technique. She is the founder and director of The NDC (The Niraja Dance Company), a professional group of Middle Eastern dance artists specializing in Lebanese, Urban, and Modern Egyptian belly dance styles. With innovative choreographies by Lotus, they have established a reputation of presenting Middle Eastern dance with excitement, urban flair, and elegance. Comprised of six women devoted to the art of Middle Eastern Dance, the NDC seeks to properly represent the dance and its culture to the world, with beautifully synchronized choreographies, passionate performances, and a touch of haute couture. Each member of the NDC is an accomplished and fabulous dancer in her own right, specializing in styles from Egyptian to raqs assaya and even tribal fusion. Under the direction of internationally known dancer Lotus Niraja, the NDC has been featured in several IAMED productions and has danced on great stages from coast to coast.

Lotus Niraja is a modern style bellydancer with recent workshops and performances around the U.S and rapidly gaining national recognition. As a performer, her audience loves her energetic, personal elegance and her technique which is expressed with subtle nuances, movements and emotional interpretation. In addition, Lotus is the artistic director and a principal choreographer of the nationally known Niraja Dance Company (The NDC).

The Niraja Dance Company (The NDC) is a Baltimore based, professional group of Middle Eastern Dance artists specializing in Modern and Urban bellydance styles. The NDC, featured on IAMED's "Bellydance Sensations" and "Bellydance 'O' Rama, and upcoming "This is Bellydance" in Los Angeles, CA is one of Baltimore's premier Middle Eastern Dance companies and also travels to perform in many dance venues across the U.S. As solo and troupe performers, The NDC enjoys entertaining and presenting belly dance as an art form inspired by the traditional dances of the Middle East and and their own unique cultures!
