BellyLessons - Level II (Intermediate)
This class is for anyone who has had at least 4 sessions of Level I and/or have a solid foundation of beginner Bellydance foundations from a qualified instructor. In this class, we will continue to work on basic technique, structure, with a focus on dancing. Review the basics and learn appropriate movements and combinations. This class steps up the level of your Middle Eastern dance journey with exploration into dance history, dance styles, costuming, and more!
What to Wear: Please see Level I
In order to move to Level II, students will be asked for a Level I Assessment.
Costs: $120 per 6 week session. Drop-in: $20 per class.

(Beginner & Intermediate)
BellyLessons - Level III (Advanced / Performance Class (Choreography Class)
This class is for the dancer who is ready to perform. Create and learn dance staging, technique, and choreography. This class will be videotaped and instructional DVD’s will be made available for students. Learn to dance to not only classical pieces, but also modern music and pop from Egypt and Lebanon. Props used in this class, veil, sagats, cane, and tahtib (possibly Isis Wings). Performance class will be held in 1-2 hour sessions. Students must have veil, sagats, cane, but will have access to additional props.
This class features: Shimmy Drills, Performance Choreography & Review, Technique Review, Teacher/Instructor Prep, Critiques, Improvisational techniques, and Learning Transitions. Learn basic and complex technique that you can make complex and stage worthy.
Note: This is ‘not’ an ongoing, drop in class, students must commit to the classes. NO DROP INS. Full payment only. Prerequisites required for placement in this class. Space limited.

BellyLessons - Level I (Beginner)
This class is geared towards beginner students who want to explore Bellydancing!
This class is perfect for the student who has never taken a bellydance class before and also for the student with 'some' experience (via classes or a DVD) who wishes to revisit the core set of basics skills.
This class will be taught in levels, so the beginner will learn and the not-so-beginner will be challenged. This course will introduce the beginner to the foundation steps, posture, and isolations. Lotus Niraja has developed an ongoing lesson plan which allows each session to have a different spin. We will focus on proper posture, muscle memory and body conditioning, techniques, and standard isolation training. Classes fill quickly, so pre-registration is recommended to avoid disappointment!
What to wear: Students should wear comfortable clothing, and are encouraged to wear hipscarves or coinbelts. No shoes are required. No flip flops, no socks (too slippery). Wear something around your hips. There will be T-shirts, hip scarves, and music for sale in class. You do not need to wait for a new session to begin taking lessons, drop in at any time!
